AN OPEN LETTER TO OJOBIANS - FANTI B. COVENANT (YOUTH LEADER)

MY DEAR COMPATRIOTS

It is from my inner mind to formally write this open letter to all Ojobians, but mostly concerns the youths to arise and take us to the promise land.

Ojobo Community is a place where God purposely blessed with large land scale, educated people, talented people, charismatic and pragmatic people, and most importantly the oil. We have all it takes to be one of the most developed communities in the Ijaw nation, but we are still stagnant in one place as interior village while we owns the Benisede flowstation and shell is operating in the community till date without giving us our entitlements. Where are the indigenous lawyers and leaders?.

It is quite unfortunate that there is no electricity in the community while shell is enjoying constant electricity and purified water only in their company-yard with our oil. Its too shameful that Ojobo has nothing to boast of except the oil and we are not even benefiting from it. I usually share tears whenever I recall the last time I visited Gbesa Grammar school, everywhere in the school premises has turned to an evil forest, that is why most students in the school are not serious with their studies, just because there are no teachers, science facilities, chairs and all the class-rooms are malodorous and so tartareous. Where are the top politicians from the community?.

In 2007, Ojobo community produced four vital political offices (Council Chairman, Commissioner for transport/agriculture, State house of assembly and Federal house of Representative), and there was no tangible development from these above mentioned offices. Getting all these offices from one community is a good political track-record, but nothing to remember the representatives at all. What were they doing during their time in office? 

The right time has come for all Ojobo youths to come together and do something out of nothing, before the blowing wind push us to early grave, there is no need or good reason for us to sit-down in one place and keep depending on our leaders that has failed their generation woefully. there's God oooooooooh

The constituted time for us to elect new Executive Council to pilot the affairs of our beloved community has come again. However, I would like to create this avenue to urge the youths to premeditate before taking any critical or drastic decision. Some of us are making wrong decisions just because of money, and that has been jeopardizing our lucent future. Why? Why?.

Lets not repeat our past records like the year 1994, 1999 and 2002. During these mentioned years, a lot of things (marriages were scattered, lives were lost, properties were vandalized) went wrong which we haven’t recovered some of them till date. Finally, I said it last year communal general election and I will still continue to say again and again that politics is not a do or die affair. Do not sell your vote, your vote is your  yours, Therefore, always respect and protect your vote. 

God let your will be done.

BARBARIC AND INHUMAN ACT: DIASPORA YOUTH CRIED OUT

WHAT A STORY THAT TOUCHED SO MUCH!:- COMR. FANTI B COVENANT

Comr. Fanti BObo-ango Covenant by introduction, who is from Ojobo federated community, studying in the diaspora has bitterly reacted to the death of Mr. Efiri Alfred Timi and called for the immediate arrest of the Amanana-owei of Ojobo Community (Mr. Ujor Perake) and his militant group for the barbaric and inhuman act.

He reacted "What a story that touched so much? I thought the people leaving in my community (Ojobo town, Bururtu Local Government Area, Delta State) are God created human beings, but they are not. This is the only community that does not want educated, vibrant and articulated people to rule or serve them, but they rather prefer blind and wicked people with archaic brains. During the communal general election 2014. I came out openly to the social media and seriously campaigned for people that are creative, educated, talented and submissive. But both old and young paid their deft ears to me and voted for people that are mellow, shallow and down to the imbecilic group and especially a criminal as the Amanana-owei of Ojobo community. Ojobo town is the only lawless society that has Amanana-owei while the crowned King is still alive, and the so called Amanana-owei (Ujor Perake) is carrying out all the duties of the crown King, just because they does not value the King.

He lamented Amanana-owei they voted in has a lot of criminal cases on ground, he is one of the top arm-robbers in the riverine area in the state, he is the leader of the militant group operating in the community, and he is using the militants to intimidate both men and women, while the Nigerian Police force is there. No wonder, former Executive Chairman/Amanana-owei (Gabriel Benede) says, the people in the community are animals. 

Recently, the Amana-owei and his militant group bit Mr. Timi Alfred Efiri to death without good reason than the fabricated allegation thrown against him by the serving Vice-Amanana-owei (Gana Foukeregha) that Mr. Timi Alfred Efiri allegedly gang-up to Kidnap him and there was no Police report, no proper investigation Fanti said.

He continued "they killed him just because they believed that nobody can challenge or do anything from the deceased’s family. 

I hereby call on the Federal Government of Nigeria, Delta State Government, Judiciary, Military, Police, State Security Service and all security agencies to be deeply involved and arrest the Amanana-owei (Mr. Ujor Perake), the Vice-Amanana-owei (Gana Foukeregha) and all the members of the militant group in the community that participated in this evil act within a short period of time before things get out of hand fanti called.

Birth” a very noble memorable moment of life. And if one is remembered on that day by loved ones, it is the best thing that can happen on that day each year. A special day celebrated with special people and remembered by some other special people, is something that anyone would dream of.

Happy Birthday to my amiable, considerate, most respected and Gbazagbaza Comrade, Doubra Collins Okotete who has use his God given talent and wisdom continually and tactically to ensured better leadership in the Burutu Local  Government Area. A young man who always believe that the pen and voice can be use to combat a battle vigorously to achieve victory.

Your love and passion for our great local government and your beloved social and political movement is testament of what you stand for not just as a young promising leader, but as a brother and a friend to all and that is what motivates me and others to team up to follow up your wonderful steps and good work you are doing intellectually.

You are far from perfect that is why i love you personally, however so is everyone on God’s Earth, your humility, passion and comradeship are a force to be reckoned with, You do not demand respect but have earned it, that is why i love you and respect you.

You are truly a motivator to your generation you do inspire many (including me), in your workouts, your generosity, and your willingness to lend a helping hand in any given situation! I hope this day will brings you as much joy as you bring people day in and day out! Thanks for always being such an inspiration to those around you (including me) and always loving people for who they are!
