SIDON CHARLES ANGAYE

We live at the banks of the coastal region with flowing waters Comfortable with the amenities that made us who we are Fishing, farming and hunting for survival were our priority for living Ingenious & indigenously civilized, yet peaceful, in harmony and love Our existence is consciously based on customs, believes, traditions and the old sacred religions
Which distinguished the entire kind and set it apart Life was a whole lot easy, interesting, exciting and fun Too comfortable and neglected the factor that put people at the top echelons of the society Many set out for the course, a few strove through the means of height attainment Others dwell upon hoes, nets, bows and arrows as a means of lively hood Now the world is fast growing rapidly, the jet age generation We did not start early enough, we are lagging way behind Time passed on and we were too sleepy to be awakened to reality The nights were so dark yet fussy to those who understood what tomorrow stood for When the day broke our eyes were dizzy & our minds careworn on how to go about with the activities of present time They came and tore through the core of her virginity made her bleed so badly made her infertile in some areas and polluted her marine habitat, farm lands & her ambient at large Her bowels bear fortunes for a life time yet her children carry begging bowls, frustrated, retarded and confused without even knowing which way to follow Those in a verse open space grew mansions out of the dust in unity and love Her very own lacks unity, understanding and discipline You can't be called your brothers keeper if all you do is bear false witness false report, hate, betrayal, lack of trust, insensitivity & favorable self disapproval Izon otu wo dudu tare ye' wo dudu tare aba weni bolou fa ngi mee' Too rich to be poor Too important to be neglected Too united to be in chaos Too responsible to be culpable Too brave to be frightened Too intelligent to be zany Those are the true core values of our existence Yet like a wind it's blown and gradually eludes our being We need to wake up from this terrible bane else the future is doomed. An open letter to Brigadier General. Paul Tarela Boroh (rtd) Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta Affairs / Coordinator Presidential Amnesty Programme By Comr. Fanti B. Covenient

October 3, 2015

Sir,

Ref: Save us from this untimely death for the sake of our Parents and Children before we see ourselves laying down six-fit under the ground.
BGD. GEN. PAUL TARELA BOROH (RTD)
Congratulations on your few months in office as our benefactor. As cultured youth with respect and humility for elders and leaders, it is an advanced stage to use this lucid, pellucid and prerogative avenue to bring to your notice ones more our predicaments which have reached an alarming rate.

Sir, myself and other 39 beneficiaries of the presidential amnesty programme were deployed on October 19, 2013 to study in Mapua institute of technology, manila, Philippines under the Chairmanship of Hon. Dr. Kingsley Kemebradigha Kuku (K3). Then, the program was ornate, propitious and regimented. Since the emergence of General Muhammadu change Buhari as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the presidential amnesty programme (PAP) suddenly became prodigal and turned to a procrastination ministry while we are under nemesis. Is the Federal Government elegantly or technically terminating the program?

As you are reading, we are in a state of peril, most of us have been served evicted by our house owners and we are just hanging around the streets, we are like in between the lion and the red sea, no food to eat, no transport to school, we can't pay our bills and soon we will be thrown into the streets of Manila. Why the General Muhammadu Change Buhari led administration truncating our vivacious lucent future? Our condition is so dire, we have no one to turn to and seek for assistance here in Manila, hence, we keep bothering you with our emails, though we know that it is the bureaucratic-bottle-neck and the so called due process that had caused this undue delay in the remittance of our stipends and tuition fees, we are still crying out for help because the hardship is now unbearable.

These endless quandaries might lure us to involve in drug activities and so many other evil things just to survive. But, Iol and behold, we won't partake in any bad thing to tarnish the good image of our dearly beloved country (Nigeria), our humble and patriotic selves. Hence, it is the collective prayer of the 40 Nigerian students that you please intervene and do anything within your reach and save our souls. Below are some of the predicaments we are facing in the Philippines while the government promised to take care of.
COMR. FANTI B. COVENANT

(1) Tuition Fees: The unpaid school fees of the past terms and the new term that commenced 20th Sept. 2015 need to be paid as soon as possible or the following shall be the consequences;
I. We will be disallowed from enrolment
II. Face deportation

(2) Unpaid In-training allowances: We have not been paid our in-training allowances for the months of July, August, September, October and November 2015, which has resulted in an untold hardship on us.

(3) Unpaid Book Allowances: Our book allowance which ought to be paid every year had been left unpaid for 2014 and 2015, as a result, we cannot buy books and this is affecting us in our studies.

(4) Unpaid Accommodation Allowance: The accommodation allowance which ought to be paid monthly has not been paid for the months of August, September, October and November 2015, and as it is, we have all been served eviction notices to leave our respective accommodations on the 20th of November 2015 or face legal action.

(5) No Medical Scheme: There is no medical scheme or what so ever that is put in place for our health and welfare. All along we have been left alone to take care of ourselves with the little In-training allowance which ought to have been used only for feeding.

(6) Expiring passports: Recently, some of our passports got expired and we borrowed money from classmates with %80 monthly reading interest while waiting for the government for reimbursement and some will be expiring early next year.

Sir, the above cogently aforementioned critical concerns raised in this letter have pushed us to unexpected unbearable and unmanageable invisible battle here in the international community (foreign land). Please, do everything under your power to save our souls within this week.

Finally, I strongly commend, acknowledge and extol you for your industrious effort so far and the Federal Government of Nigeria as well. On behalf of my distinguished colleagues, we will keep on hanging all hope on God and maintain our good ambassadorship and the peerless image of our dearly beloved country (Nigeria).

We would be extremely grateful if my plea is considered.

Thanks and God bless you for your anticipated kindness and cooperation.

Best regards

GOODLUCK JONATHAN: THE BEST IN ALL BY KIMERICK PETER

GOODLUCK JONATHAN: THE BEST IN ALL BY KIMERICK PETER

Words they say are cheap and nothing is as sweet as beating up the weeping Boy as all, including weaklings suddenly gain strength and bury their own weaknesses in the collective attack.
Patriot Kimerick Peter (Ayakoromite)

Unfortunately, it bellies current failures and provide a ready platform for discuss even when we know the lie in it. No situation affords the above assertion better expression than what has become the order of the day in casting former president GOODLUCK JONATHAN in bad light, selling him as a total failure even in the face of realities. We know that the heart does not lie but the tongue is deceitful , So one wonders why even respected men choose to live the lie because that is the Vogue.

Examples to prove the point are legion and glaring for which one would have been tempted to gloss over them except for the fact that Nigerians have started acting too early as if we are suffering from collective amnesia on the issue of JONATHAN 'S performance given the Circumstances. Most painful is the fact that we have soon forgotten the accolades that attended the reformation of our international gateways and the advertorials that graced newspapers showering praises o  how things had changed.

The question that rushes to one's lips is are we being fair to JONATHAN by painting him with the tar of general lack of performance? Can we stand the pricking of our conscience over the issue of realities of crediting one man with the Success of another just to scurry favour?

There were certain things that had left our memories which the JONATHAN administration restored to our collective psyche and never in the annals of the Country's history was freedom of expression given such a handle as under his regime. He paid dealy for it with the abuses which it appears people have been fixated on long after he gracefully left the stage.  It is incontrovetible that in every sense of it, his transformation agenda really transformed the country in all sectors though the rot in the system which had endured over the years seemed to taint his efforts; but if truth be told, he left giant marks which his traducers have been working assiduously to rubbish without success and in the process; celebrate their own ignorance and lack od direction. Rather than fall into the common mistake of attacking ideas and people, it is more honourable and respectable to take some issues and address them to prove that Nigerians will be lucky to have president MUHAMMADU BUHARI leave marks on the political and developmental space like JONATHAN did. Without even starting, cries are all Nigerians are getting from the present regime which unknown to them, is preparing grounds for the explanation of it's would be failure.

Jonathan approached governance with a developmental mind with the  intentions for the country. He placed national interest above seft, a reason he close a different path by conceding victory no matter how it was won just for the country to be at peace. A retrospective look will reveal how his opponents in no distant past took their losses at the polls and the hundreds of Nigerian lives, property and animosities that went into it. That alone places him head above all Nigerian politicians and bellied his considerations for the country. Simply put, he transformed theNigerian psyche, giving us an opportunity to think straight once more. Another funny thing that has become the order of the day... for example is the praises being showered on president of power supply across the country yes, power generation and distribution have generally improved but it was not a feat  that was achieved overnight at home and getting light immediately. Power involves intricate processes that include building of infrastructure, the turbines gas supply, the generation, wheeling, transmission and distribution before Nigerians get the power in their homes.

The question is what has the present adminstration done from MAY till now to have put those things in place? It is simply the result of what JONATHAN did that BUHARI is getting the praises for. It is like a hunter who shot a game that in the thrashing of death goes somewhere else to die and picked by a nursing mother and everyone starts to sing her praise for killing a big game.

JONATHAN updated the transmission backbone of the country which was unable to carry above 3000 megawatts; built substations, massively brought in transformers and completed generating stations across the country that radically increased the generation capacity of the country. At a point not with standing that gas is not like crude oil that thieves could puncture the pipelines to steal, yet each time power peaked within his tenure, saboteurs would cut the gas supply and power willl drop. What has the present regime done to stop that other than those who were doing it have simply stoped because power has changed hands?
Anything that is seen in improvement of power in the coming years remains a credit to JONATHAN; even BUHARI knows that.
Another funny assertion is that refiners in the country coming back on stream three months after the new regime took over were the handwork of BUHARI. The simply question to ask is how long does Turn Around Maintenance (TAM) of a refinery take? What for example is the average time and process of replacing the catalytic cracking like happened with the port Harcourt refinery? Answers to these questions would show that it takes an average of 18months for TAM and even longer to procure and install CCU  since it is not an on-the-shelf part; yet gullible Nigerians are plied with sweet stories of what is not.

The fact again is that JONATHAN 'S regime turned around the refineries and any result coming in that sector goes to only one person, JONATHAN.

Prior to the coming of the JONATHAN administration, road travel had but died across the country. How many kilometers of motorable roads did we have before then? Travelers between lagos and benin, edo state slept more on the road than the days they made the journey in a day. The ore axis if it had mouth, would have testified to how many travelers it swallowed through accidents, not to talk of those it hosted in traffic snarls while armed robbers had field days. Yet those who ply the route now can attest to the difference. Soon too, maybe those would be credited to the vaunted "changed". Roads across the country are even bettee now as more works were done there. Some bridges conceived in the 70's and left in the drawing board breathed the air of realisation under JONATHAN while the south east which has the worst roads also got some relief. There is no part of the country that did not feel the road rehabilitation and construction. We await BUHARI to surpass those records.

Airports across the country could be said to have had the best of it as modernisation spread evenly for the first time since our independence under stella oduah as minister. Even today no one can without covering his face in shame; say JONATHAN did not reform our airports from lagos to kano, sokoto to kaduna, calabar to owerri, benin to abuja ans enugu airport which started enjoying international flights. JONATHAN had a fair mind so much that developments other heads of state had vowed would be executed over their dead bodies are now functional when they are still alive. Rail transportation which is supposed to take pressure off our roads died long time ago.

Also, the political and military class used it as the worst conduit pipe to drain resources for years without anything to show for it. Infact rather than shop for tar list to nail JONATHAN with, one thought that the present regime would probe the rail contracts prior to the time JONATHAN revived it. Today, lagos to kaduna, kano route is back on stream, port harcourt---maiduguri is also back on steeam among many long hauls.

The speed rail between kaduna and abuja is nearing completion while modern coaches and hands have been brought into the country, yet people are behaving as if they are not seeing. Can we remember the amount the country lost to food importation even with the land mass that it is blessd with? Have we forgotten that fertilizer importation, allocation and distribution created emergency billionaires while the real farmers that needed them never had access to that necessary farm input? Can we remember how rice farmers craved for patronage and milling machines without getting positive response from the required quarters? Do we not know now that we are inching towards self-sufficiencyin rice productions? How many people know that Nigeria is the highest cassava producer in the world? So many milestones the mind could not fathom in the past were achieved in agriculture under JONATHAN. We thank GOD that BUHARI is a farmer; we shall see how far he would cinsolidate on what JONATHAN did.

One thing that needs be said is that even though the achievements are like work in progress, the effect of those projects are goinf to be positively felt decades from now and therefore beyond BUHARI'S tenure, so posterity should be kind enough to credit JONATHAN with his good works.

Coming to the issue of statemanship, he still stands head above everyone which has lionised JONATHAN in the African continent and beyond. How many sitting heads of state ever conceded defeat at a poll they superitended? What would have happened if he decided to contest the results with all the proof of underage voting and the lopsided distribution of permanent voters cards?

Have we forgetten the assertion of the "Baboon and the monkey to be soaked in blood" should a particular candidate lose the elections? He is not in the category of desperate politician who wants to be in power by all means. We can remember not in the distant past, the sharing of the treasury to elongate constitutional given days in power by some who today are masquerading as political saints, yet JONATHAN sacrificed the office for peace.

He had the army, police and other security apparatchik at his control to have foisted himself in power or even put up credible challenge to the election results but refrained from doing so because of the thousands that would have died from the aftermath.

Putting the nation first, he saved lives. From the foregoing, should we attack a man because he refused to pull punches? Should his peaceful disposition be taken for weakness and therefore pummeled with the notion that he lacks power to go into an offensive or defend himself?  Caution should be exercised when aiming a sledge hammer on the skulls of the innocent.

Every Nigerian has been a victim of the fraud in government; while some looted the treasury within very short periods of time and are answering statemen today, others try to hide theirsin bantes and aso oke, casting the impression of piety and modesty but we know that their worth when they assumed power is not what it is today after selling our common patrimony to themselves and cronies in the name of privatization and yet they bask in the euphoria of being protected from probes.

Probe is good but why not being fair to all and probe every regime, at least within the era of democratic rule? It appears the probe is just another name for going after JONATHAN who prescientifically had warned his ministers to brace up for persecution. Apply the golden rule and probe all instend of picking and choosing... in the event the suspicions of reasonable minds that JONATHAN is the target hold true,  know that the seed of discord has been sown unless the plot is to tar a certain section of the country  in order to exclude them from power in the future.

Humiliating JONATHAN is humiliating the office of the president and the consequences can be dire after all, there had been probes without consequences in the past.

AVOWAL: DESOPADEC APPOINTMENTS: A DELIBERATE INJUSTICE SERVED THE OGULAGHA PEOPLE HIS EXCELLENCY THE EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF DELTA STATE

DESOPADEC APPOINTMENTS: A DELIBERATE INJUSTICE SERVED THE OGULAGHA PEOPLE HIS EXCELLENCY THE EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF DELTA STATE - By Comrade Victor Oyinke Isereke

Once again our peaceful disposition has turned around to hunt us; once again this Governor deem it fit to sideline my people from the political gains of Delta State just as his predecessors.

The Ogulagha Kingdom people in Burutu LGA of Delta State contributes immensely toward the economic wellbeing of our beloved State as over 40% of the total oil produced in the state is from our kingdom; and we have for "over 40years created and sustained the enabling environment for the activities of the oil exploration companies to strive" even at the peak of the Niger Delta arms struggle for self liberation that was aimed at crippling oil exploitation in Niger Delta region.

We are endowed with human resources just as we endowed with natural resources; our biggest challenge today is the total negligence from government and it's agencies in terms of infrastructural and human capital development; as we are relegated to the back in the preferential scale of development by successive government in Delta State and Nigeria in general.

No Ogulagha son/daughter has been lucky enough to be elected or appointed into political offices even if it is "SA to the SA to the Deputy Governor" save for the very recent emergence of our own Hon. Julius Gbabojor Pondi as a member of the 8th National Assembly, Representing the Burutu Federal Constituency.

We received with joy the emergence of a grassroot politician like Sen. (Dr.) Ifeayin Arthur Okowa as the flag bearer of the Democratic Party hence mobilised enmass to deliver over 10,000 votes from our kingdom totally for a man we believed will turn the table around by bringing the ever peace loving Ogulagha People to dine from his prosperity table.

It is now over 100 hundred days since His Excellency assumed office, it is also now over 100 days of waiting for the Ogulagha people; over a hundred days of continued exploitation of our oil onshore and offshore without recourse to our wellbeing; it is now over a hundred days His Excellency does not see any Ogulagha Son or Daughter as worthy to be appointed into his cabinet.

Yes it is within your rights to appoint whoever you deem fit but one thing that the Ogulagha People will never forgive you for is the deliberate injustice you served us by not deeming it fit to appoint an Ogulagha indigene into the just constituted board and management of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) knowing very well that we contribute over 40% of the total oil produced in the State.

Your excellency sir, I really think it is not out of place for you to bring the Ogulagha People to the fore in your scale of preference as we have sacrificed our happiness over the years for the collective good of our State in particular and the nation in general.

Come to think of it, we contribute so much to our economy yet we live in zinc coated houses while the oil exploration companies live in very serene estates in our land, we have no water to drink while the companies drink well treated still water; we can only access our communities via boats not withstanding the turbulence of the Atlantic Ocean while the oil giants airlift their workers to and from work.

Conclusively, I believe that if the Ogulagha People are left unattended by government just as the multinational oil companies have abandoned us we will sooner or later device other means of seeking the attention of Government and the multinationals.

EBIKEME VOWS TO RESTRUCTURE BURUTU LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL.

EBIKEME VOWS TO RESTRUCTURE BURUTU LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL.

By
Comr. Binebai Yerin Princewill - SA on New Media to the Executive Chairman Burutu Local Government Council.
HON. CLARK EBIKEME
EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN BURUTU LGA

the Executive Chairman of Burutu Local Government Council, Hon. Ebikeme Clark has vowed to restructure the LGA even in the face of dwindling economic resources.

The Chairman gave the charge recently in his office at the Council secretariat, Burutu while addressing individuals concerned about the development of the Local Government.

Chief Ebikeme maintained that in his bid to see that the common man also benefits from his Government, he has introduced a " Poverty Alleviation Programme" in which over 500 persons have been engaged across the LGA with effect from August 2015.

He however, opine that the over 500 persons are just within the first batch of people in the scheme but hope to improve on the figure when the economy waxes stronger, he said.

Hon. Clark also spoke about his grandiose dream of building a new secretariat as he drives home the point that by the special grace of God he hopes to complete this project before living office and upon its completion, the present secretariat will be converted as a staff quarter." I hope to live a legacy that will stand the test of time " he remarked.

Clark, however, pleaded with the good people of the the Council to be patient with him as the present economic situation in the Country is indeed worrisome and solely responsible for the delayed development even as the wage bill is at the high side compared to the allocations coming to the council. Hence he urged everyone to be patient with him.

Making Burutu Local Government Council great is indeed a collective responsibility.

UPCOMING NIGER DELTA MEDIA STAR , GOGO LUKE SMITH ALIAS OBOLOPRINCE TO PRESIDENT BUHARI CONCERNING NIGER DELTA

UPCOMING NIGER DELTA MEDIA STAR , GOGO LUKE SMITH ALIAS OBOLOPRINCE TO PRESIDENT BUHARI CONCERNING NIGER DELTA.

In an ovowal sent to Asypeter's Ijaw_Tubor Voice via electoral media by Oboloprince Gogo luke smith a.k.a OBOLOPRINCE who hail from River State, presently studying multimedia in diaspora openly Advice president Buhari  concerning Niger Delta.

Obolo in his statement call President Buhari to be very wise in his action toward the Niger Delta because his supporters might not stand by him when things will begin to spoil in Nigeria under his watchdog (Administration).

HERE IS THE FULL AVOWAL:

Let me state this very clear to President Buhari weather he likes it or Not, Nigeria is pregnant now and soon she will give birth to childrens.

Buhari if you under estimate the poor Niger Delta people who are now benefiting for the very first time in the history of Nigeria and are receiving tangible training abroad so in the nearest future can reach out to their family, loves once and friends, who are not benefiting from the program as a mean to reduce poverty in the OIL RICH region that were long neglected by the federal government of Nigeria.

If you think u can just use Military tactic's to end the program and stop us from speaking and fighting for our right in reducing Poverty in our region (Niger delta) by using the military against us, you better think twice because when the time will come, the Nation will suffer a big loose in the oil sector as it will fall back to produce 200 barrel a day if not 20 barrel or none at all.

Boko Haram has thought every tribe how to terrorize and kill people recklessly, I believe they are still beginners and learners, Briafran and Niger Deltans already have the experience to more than what boko haram are exhibiting.

President Buhari be wise, your supporters will not stand by you and they will blame you for your actions when things goes wrong in the country

Thank you Mr. President Buhari

‪‎MY EUPEPTIC AND ADORABLE ELDER SISTER CROSSED AND LANDED ANOTHER LIFE BRIDGE‬-: AMB. ASYPETER'S

Christina Rossetti said “For there is no friend like a sister on calm or stormy weather; to cheer one on the tedious way, to fetch one if one goes astray, to lift one if one totters down and to strengthen whilst one stands”.
Happy Birthday to my darling, benevolent, perfect, softhearted, dearest and compassionate elder sister, my friend, my confidante, the keeper of my secrets, the sharer of my life, and the one most likely to keep me humble. You have become an amazing woman—charming, adorable, energetic, friendly, honest, selfless, daring, funny, forgiving, kind, sensitive, with an unprecendented unconditional love for the downtrodden and helpless, loving, supportive, and so much more.

I love that we can talk for hours. I love that we can say one line to each other and laugh for 20 minutes straight without needing any explanations. I love that we see the humor in almost anything and anyone, especially when life gets really tough. I love that your faith in me has lifted me up countless times when I have doubted myself and your sarcasm has picked me up off the floor and told me to walk it off when I thought I did not have the strength. I love that we keep alive all the best parts of our lives by talking about them and laughing about them all the time. I love that we share our tears and fears.

You are so unique. I have encountered people that are passionate about life and you are one of them, or whose heart is more tender than others. Being so far away from your hurts but when I think of the woman you are becoming, it makes me proud to be your kinsman (KID_BROTHER)! You warm my heart, you make me smile, you melt my heart every time I think how you are tirelessly encouraging me, and you make me laugh out loud and let things go and not take life too seriously. I am sure brothers are great, but sisters are THE BEST and I have the BEST SISTER in the world!

Most of all, sweetheart, I love you. I’m really lucky to have you as an elder sister.
