Your role as a teacher and mentor is truly appreciated. Your advice and guidance have always been on the mark and we have always counted upon you to provide the criticism and vision that is necessary to keep us on the right track.
We also appreciate you having the tact to coat that advice with enough sugar to get us to listen. One does not have to be around you very long to know that you truly care about students. There are few who can equal your passion for improving the teaching and learning of Philippine language (Tagalog). Your energy, insights and understanding of the fundamental problems associated with the language are unparalleled.
Your ability to make students from a broad spectrum of abilities feel at home and comfortable working together is simply wonderful to watch. What sets you apart from others who share similar views is that you place your words into action. You set the example and the standards that many of us can only hope to emulate.
