IJAW STRUGGLE: THE ENDLESS STRUGGLE OF NIGER DELTA HAS BEEN DIVERTED SAYS COMR. FANTI B COVENANT

IJAW STRUGGLE: THE ENDLESS STRUGGLE OF NIGER DELTA HAS BEEN DIVERTED SAYS COMR. FANTI B COVENANT

COMR. FANTI B COVENANT (ACTING PRESIDENT IISAP)

The acting president of Ijaw International Students Association Philippines, Comr. Fanti B covenant in avowal statement sent to ASYpeter's_SALacO_Jr IzoN_TuboR blog editor reacted horn-madly to  the leadership of Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) for the arising leadership misunderstanding that is about to paint the well recognize Ijaw youth body black. He call on the present leaders of Ijaw National Congress (INC) to call both parties to order before things get out of hand.

"The endless struggle of the Niger Delta has been manipulated, bastardized and diverted to self promotion game within the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC). During the time of our most respected, recognized and renowned Hero, Late Major Isaac Jasper Adaka-boro, and the early 1990s to 2009, the struggle was in the direct lane. But the struggle of today has turned to something else, which I couldn't understand anymore" Fanti said.
He lamented "People are now using the name of the Ijaw struggle to enrich themselves with their families alone while the less privileges are suffering in the villages. It baffles me so much to the extend I feel like fighting against the self acclaimed, arrogant, greedy, unserious, selfish and nonchalant leaders in the Ijaw Nation and the entire Niger Delta.
He continued "Ijaw ethnic nationality of the Niger Delta within the Nigerian State is scattered across six legitimate states: Bayelsa, Delta, Ondo, Rivers, Edo and Akwa Ibom States. Ijaw is a nation of more than fifteen million people in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria, the most populous indigenous inhabitants of the Niger Delta and constituted as the fourth largest ethnicity within the borders of Nigeria.
Nevertheless, I would like to call on the leadership of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) to withdraw the case from court and lets resolve every grievances, conflicts and differences within ourselves amicably in other for us to continue the struggle to protect the interests of our people. We fighting ourselves will not bring any development to our land, neither peace, rather increase division and poverty.
I would equally like to use this transparent avenue to plead with the past and present leaders of Ijaw National Congress (INC) and government of Bayelsa State to intervene and re-build the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) before things get out of hand Covenant called.
The Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) is a civil right organization, founded in 1998, which supports the interest of the Ijaw ethnic group in Niger Delta region. Prominent and pragmatic Ijaw youths brainstormed together from over five hundred communities that is more than fifty clans (Kingdoms) which made up the Ijaw nation and representing twenty five (25) representative organizations met at Kaiama (Adaka-boro's home town) and deliberated on the best way to ensure the continues survival of the indigenous people of the Ijaw ethnic nationality of Niger Delta within the Nigerian State.

ASYpeter's_SALacO_Jr IzoN_TuboR blog gather recently,  President Odengs Eradiri (President IYC), filed suite against some articulated Ijaw youths in the name of dragging leadership power
