AN AVOWAL: OJOBO COMMUNITY NEED GOD INTERVENTION SAYS FANTI B COVENANT

  

Ojobo Federated Community is the most renowned and largest village in the entire Burutu Local Government Area, Delta State. It's comprises Ojobo, Aya-Ojobo, Bolou-Ojobo, Beinmo-Ojobo, Akorugbene/Diekemenegbene, Ere-eregbene, Ebeberegbe, Beniseide, osuopelebiri etc.

The main Ojobo is divided into three parts (Tamoubiri quarters, Apedegbai quarters and engoimor quarters) in terms of politics in other to protect lives and avoid communal crisis during general elections. But it so much baffles me that people are still instigating crisis to achieve their personal aims during elections while all the executive positions has been zoned to the above mentioned quarters.

Although, we usually change government and conduct swearing-in ceremony and handover to new government on the 29th of may every year. But it is so flabbergasting that, the communal general election this year is still on hold due to political sentiments by some self-acclaimed leaders that cannot feed without the community chairmanship.

I thought, Ojobians are politically civilized and wiser than other nearby villages, but it is so unfortunate that they are not. Just imagine, the chairmanship election has been hijacked by Hon. Chief Funkekeme Solomon due to reasons that are best known to him.

In the early 2000s, it was the Amanana-owei who use to call general conference and the masses nominates electoral committee. But today, electoral committee is setting-up from nowhere.

I think, most challenges and problems of Ojobo community is cursing by the youths that does not know what is wrong and right. Since Year 2000 when the elders handover the government to the youths, things started getting out of hand till date. Unknowingly to the youths, the so called contractors and political leaders they are worshiping has influenced them with their sugar coated tongues, and the youths of nowadays are not even patient like the time of late. Chief A. A Zuokumor, Chief Housa Brisibe and others. 

The behavior of the youth is now becoming something else that could cause invisible natural disaster in the community. We are suppose to be in one accord and do things that will promote the town and bring betterments from both Shell and the state government.

All in all, I call on the brown new Amanana-owei ( Beke-owei Warekromor) to invite prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin and other prominent pastors that hails from the community to organize crusade and conduct a special and serious deliverance for our land before earthquake occur.
